Have You Heard Of British Kids Comics Publisher Bog Eyed Books?

by Staff

British comics publisher Bog Eyed Books recently came to my attention through the acclaim they have been receiving from the design world for their publications. They are a children’s comics publisher led by Gary Northfield.
The publisher presents comics like Northfield’s own Beano creation Derek the Sheep, and comics that appear in the periodical The Phoenix, including Jim Medway’s Sgt Chip Charlton and Mister Woofles as well as Alexander Matthews and Wilbur Dawbarn’s Useleus.
Here’s a little bit more information about Sgt Chip Charlton and Mister Woofles:

Scared of horses but driven to fight crime and seek justice? What is a young Canadian to do?
Chip Charlton joins the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, picking his daschund buddy over the conventional equine sidekick. Sgt Chip soon proves the naysayers wrong, and time after time, crime after crime, demonstrates how even a weak stomach is no obstacle to following your dream.

And about Derek the Sheep:

Back in print after five years! From the creator of Julius Zebra and Gary’s Garden, the legendary adventures of Beano superstar DEREK THE SHEEP! Join grumpy, but loveable sheep Derek as he seeks greener grass, battles angry squirrels, cheats in a haircut competition and tries to outwit a magical leprechaun! A collection of the first 13 Derek the Sheep adventures that appeared in ‘The Beano’.

Useleus is coming soon from Bog Eyed Books:
