IDW’s Rogue One Graphic Novel Adaptation Has Animation Style Flair
by Hannah Means Shannon
IDW is adding a new edition to their Star Wars graphic novel line this week with the Star Wars: Rogue One Graphic Novel Adaptation has officially arrived.
Not to be confused with the Marvel Comics series that adapted Rogue One, this graphic novel adaptation has a much more Disney animation-style look to the art, and is printed in 6×9 format, making it handy for YA and adult readers. The age on the book is marked “teen”, so we wouldn’t call it “all ages” but it’s certainly something that’s going to appeal to a more youthful market.
At 80 pages, it’s a solid read, bringing the story you already know and love to comics.
The Star Wars: Rogue One Graphic Novel Adaptation features the creative talent of Star Wars veterans, including author Alessandro Ferrari (Star Wars Saga graphic novel adaptations, Star Wars: The Force Awakens), along with illustrators and artists Andrew Parisi, Igor Chimisso (Star Wars Saga), Matteo Piana (Star Wars Saga, The Ring of the Seven Worlds), and a brand-new cover by artist Eric Jones (Tron: Ghost in the Machine, Star Wars Adventures).
The Star Wars: Rogue One Graphic Novel Adaptation trade paperback collection is available for $9.99 in comic shops and arrived this week.
