Irish West-Allen Suits Up In Flash First Look Photo

It had to happen at some point: Iris West-Allen (Candace Patton) is getting powers.
As seen in the first look photo below, Iris will become a speedster in the March 13th episode of The Flash. When another bus meta emerges with the power to recombine DNA, Iris finds herself with a connection to the Speed Force while Barry (Grant Gustin) returns to the slow path. And since she has the power now, Barry will take her position in the Cortex speaking encouraging words and making plot-convenient decisions.
The costume might seem plain, but the color scheme echoes the uniform worn by Legionnaire Jenni Ognatz in the 30th Century; suggesting that the Team Flash superfan we’ve see around town (Jessica Parker Kennedy) could be Iris’s own granddaughter by way of time travel. Unless of course she’s Dawn Allen. Is Iris’s time as a speedster the moment she came to the past to see? Time will tell. It always does.
The Flash returns February 27th on The CW.
