A Family Of Foxes Face A Merciless Winter In Silent OGN Petals From Boom! Studios

Boom! Studios has announced a new graphic novel arriving in September 2018 from writer and artist Gustavo Borges and Eisner Award-nominated colorist Cris Peter.

In Petals, readers experience a story set during a snowstorm in which a family of foxes “desperately try to survive a merciless winter” in a completely silent original graphic novel. When a young cub leaves home in search of firewood, he encounters a tall, strange bird wearing a top hat, and tale “about friendship, life and selflessness” unfolds.

Gustavo Borges explains:

When I decided to do PETALS, the first thing I had in mind was the feeling of gratitude – I knew that I was gonna try to do an emotional tale. With that emotion guiding me, it was a simple and obvious decision to approach this as a silent book with no dialogue.
