Arrow has finally reached its season finale and the team, it seems, has found an accord with the FBI. As this scene from tonight’s finale indicates, though, Ricardo Diaz (Kirk Acevedo) knows about Oliver’s (Stephen Amell) play and shipped operations out of the SCPD. Even if Team Arrow and the federal government have control of the station, Diaz still has the city.
But it is nice to have a measure of resolution in one of the more uninspired elements of Season 6. The FBI investigation into Ollie always seemed wrongheaded; what with his identity and activities known to A.R.G.U.S. That it became part of Diaz’s plan to disgrace, discredit and incarcerate Ollie just made it worse. Now, at the end, the Bureau may prove to be an important asset in the final moves of the season.
Following tonight’s finale, Paul Blackthorne leaves the series and Colton Haynes returns as Roy Harper when the show returns for its seventh season. The show also moves to Monday, where it may find itself revitalized among its costumed cousins.
Arrow airs Thursdays on The CW.
