The cast of HBO’s Watchmen continues to grow.
Deadline reports former Sleepy Hollow star Tom Mison, Titanic‘s Frances Fisher and Superfly‘s Jacob Ming-Trent have joined the cast of Damon Lindelof’s Watchmen pilot. Their roles are undisclosed as is much of the project is veiled in secrecy. In a letter to fans last month, Lindelof revealed the series will not adapt the original 12-issue maxiseries by Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons, but take place in its world some 30 years later.
Or remix them, depending on how you read Lindeloff’s letter.
The three new cast members join the previously announced roster of Jeremy Irons, Regina King, Don Johnson, Tim Blake Nelson, Louis Gossett Jr., Adelaide Clemens and Andrew Howard.
Since the project is still in a pilot stage, it is unclear if HBO will ultimately pick up the series. Lindelof’s letter suggests a great deal of confidence even as some fans wonder if its worthwhile to keep mining Watchmen for transmedia ideas.
