#MalCrushMonday Concludes With First Look At Firefly #1 Interior Art

All good things must come to an end, including #MalCrushMonday. Boom! Studios has been celebrating the upcoming release of Firefly #1 with a weekly spotlight on the project including awesome variant covers and limited edition collections. With the final highlight, the publisher has revealed a first look at Dan McDaid’s interior artwork for the first issue.
Firefly #1 is written by Greg Pak and illustrated by Dan McDaid. Series creator Joss Whedon is on board as a story consultant. This new series tells the story of the Unification War, the intergalactic civil war that divided friends and family.
Jeanine Schaefer, Executive Editor, Boom! Studios says:
There’s a special kind of magic that makes the best Firefly stories – something that Greg and Dan have perfectly captured in this new series. Fans will see new sides of Mal, Zoe and the crew of Serenity as we explore not only what it means to fight a war…but also what it takes to survive one.
