Sherlock Wells Arrives In A Preview Of Next Week’s The Flash

With Team Flash aware of Cicada (Chris Klein), it’s time to call in another Harrison Wells to support the brain trust. This one is known as Sherlock (Tom Cavanagh) and may have the skills to catch the killer. But a new Wells may not be enough to save Cisco (Carols Valdes) from certain death. Then again, the fact the episode is called “The Death of Vibe” suggests Cisco will pull through, even if his powers do not.
Cisco losing his powers would be an okay thing at this point. Like losing the S.T.A.R. Labs satellite, removing Cisco’s dimension-hopping abilities would put the team at another tactical disadvantage. And considering they already have two speedsters, hobbling them a bit is good for story. It’s also good for character as Cisco continues to process grief. While he started to let go of Gypsy this week, breaking their bond may require some dark matter and tougher journey for the usually lighthearted character.
Granted, we’re assuming Cisco survives Cicada’s attack. Like Silver Age comics which promised the shocking death of the main character, this feels like “The Death of Vibe” will be more of a fake out than anything else. At least, we’re hoping that’s the case as we love Cisco.
