New Graphic Novels Fill ‘Lost In Space’ Void While Waiting For Netflix’s Season 2

Earlier this year, the classic television show, Lost In Space, was reimagined and released on the streaming service, Netflix. The series received enough positive response to earn a pick up for a second season. Piggybacking off the success of the TV show, Legendary Entertainment plans to release a four-part comic expansion following the adventures of the Robinsons, Robot, Dr. Smith and Don West.
The first volume, Lost In Space: Countdown To Danger, was recently released and contains two stories written by Richard Dinnick and Brian Buccalleto with art by ZID. Both stories focus on Will and Penny with Dinnick’s contribution entitled, “Secrets”, while Buccalleto’s tale is called “Penny and Judith”.

Robert Napton, Senior Vice President of Legendary Comics, says:

Lost in Space: Countdown to Danger represents another opportunity for Legendary Comics to build upon and expand the intricate universes created by our popular film and television series. Richard, Brian, and ZID’s thrilling stories and beautiful artwork will surely draw fans further into new adventures featuring their favorite ‘Lost in Space’ characters.

The graphic novels explore new adventures that were never shown on television and allow readers to dive deeper into the backstories of all the fan favorite characters. Look out for Volume Two, which will focus on Robot and Dr. Smith, in the Spring of 2019.
