Jon Cryer’s Lex Luthor Plots From Prison In Supergirl First Look Photo

by Erik Amaya

Jon Cryer will make his debut as Earth-38’s Lex Luthor in “O Brother, Where Art Thou?”, the March 17th episode of Supergirl. To tease his arrival, The CW released a photo of Cryer as the iconic baddie.

And a photo of the supervillain plotting from his prison cell seems fitting. The episode sees Lex reaching out to enlist Lena (Katie McGrath) into one of his plans. He will stop at nothing to get her on board, even if that means leveraging the life of one of her friends. Considering her friends list is pretty much limited to Kara (Melissa Benoist) and James (Mehcad Brooks), it’s pretty easy to guess who he’ll target.
The episode marks Cryer’s return to the Luthor fold. He played Lex’s archly 1980s nephew Lenny in Superman IV: The Quest for Peace. But this time, as the man himself, it appears Cryer will have no time for Nintendo, tricked out cars, or loud fashions. We cannot wait to see his take on Lex.
Supergirl airs Sundays on The CW.
