The Boys Teaser Makes The Group’s Feelings On The Seven Quite Clear
by Erik Amaya
Amazon, via executive producer Seth Rogen, has released a teaser for their upcoming adaptation of The Boys. It looks super, but it also makes a pointed comment about the Seven; a not-so-subtle parody of the Justice League.
Based on one of my favorite comics of all time, I’m proud to have helped bring #TheBoys to life. Here’s a taste of our new show, coming to Amazon this year: pic.twitter.com/oACd1KL2pu

You may remember a similar sentiment from the first Titans trailer. But where that felt like adolescent posturing this feels … well, consistent with the tone of the comic book by Garth Ennis and Darrick Robertson. It also seems consistent with Rogen’s style as a producer — granted, both of his comic book shows are based on Ennis titles. Nonetheless, this seems like it will be fun.
The series stars Karl Urban, Jack Quaid, Karen Fukuhara, Laz Alonso and Tomer Capon as a team of vigilantes who take it upon themselves to deal with the more hedonistic members of the superhero community when their tendencies get out of line. But some of The Boys have a more personal stake in their job. Perhaps too personal.
The Boys debuts this summer on Amazon.
