Season 2 Of Dragon Ball FighterZ Adds Jiren, Videl, And More
by Sage Ashford
After a successful 2018, Dragon Ball FighterZ is gearing up for the next year with a new wave of characters in a second season pass. Announced at the Dragon Ball FighterZ World Tour Finals, the first two characters announced are Videl and Jiren. The head champion of Universe 11, Jiren joins a handful of other Dragon Ball Super-era characters, retaining much of his signature fighting moves from the Tournament of Power. Meanwhile, Videl joins the few Buu Saga creations, and true to her appearance in the series, appears to be lacking any long-range beam moves. Instead, she relies on the power of the Great Saiyaman (her husband, Gohan), for combo attacks.
Both Videl and Jiren are meant to come out on January 31st, but that’s far from everything the second season pass has to offer. The trailer also shows two additional characters coming to the game: Broly and Gogeta (in his Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan form), from the most recent film, Dragon Ball Super: Broly. Neither character has a release date, though presumably they won’t be too far behind Videl and Jiren, unless they’re timed to come out with the Blu-ray release of the Broly film. There are also two other characters yet to be revealed, meaning fans of the fighting game have a lot to look forward to.
