Murder Falcon Covers More Heavy Metal This Spring

by Olly MacNamee

Daniel Warren Johnson’s Murder Falcon continues to impress me with their dedication to having each issue adorned with some inspirational artwork, based on classic heavy metal LP covers of the past. So it is with issue #6 and #7, out this Spring.

Murder Falcon #6’s “Heavy Metal” variant cover, with art provided by acclaimed Redlands artist Vanesa Del Rey, homages Megadeth’s Rust in Peace. Eisner Award-winning artist Erica Henderson (The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl) provides the art for Murder Falcon #7’s “Heavy Metal” variant cover, which salutes Dio’s iconic debut album Holy Diver.

And, here’s the covers now, as well as the LPs that inspired them.

Murder Falcon #7 will be available on Wednesday, April 10th, and the final order cutoff deadline for comics retailers is Monday, March 18th.
