ToyFair 2019 Highlights: An Extravaganza At The Funko Booth

by Hannah Means Shannon

As you might have suspected from the gazillions of items of Funko news coming out of ToyFair 2019 this weekend and week in New York, Funko had a large booth presence at the show. It’s been awhile since I’ve attended a ToyFair, and I found their booth much updated, moving away from minimalist white to cozier woodgrain, carpeting, and leatherette couches and chairs. It felt like a welcoming storefront as much as a display and meeting location for the show.
Here’s a walk through of the IRL Pops and collectibles that Funko had on display, many for the first time made public:

DC and Marvel were prominent, of course…

I must have this Loungefly Marvel bag. That deep purple backdrop is killer…
Now we move into some of those recent reveals, like The Simpsons…

Music is playing a big role this Spring…
Anime is taking flight, too…
New old TV properties are coming to the fore..
A David Harbour-like Hellboy ahead of the film was one of the stars of the show for me…
Rock on, Funko…
The Queen Pops couldn’t be more timely with Bohemian Rhapsody taking home so many awards…
The Game of Thrones items were also looking fresh with the final season of the show looming…
And back to some DC merch to round things off…

Not a bad tour! I could’ve spent a couple more hours there, particularly with the cushy seating.
Lastly, one of my old favorites, Huckleberry Hound took the form of a giant PEZ dispenser, celebrating that partnership.

I would’ve taken him home if I thought I could get him on the train. Well, wouldn’t you have? Good thing I already have the smaller version keeping me company in my office.
