Dark Horse Comics Celebrates Run & Gun Platformer Cuphead With New Art Book

Dark Horse Books and Studio MDHR have joined forces for a new artbook celebrating the run & gun platformer, Cuphead. The Art of Cuphead digs into the golden age of 1930s animation. This curated collection highlights the game’s traditional hand-drawn, frame-by-frame animation. That includes early concepts, production work, and early ideas that went into the making of Cuphead’s characters, bosses, stages, and more.
The Art of Cuphead is guided by personal insights from game directors Chad and Jared Moldenhauer. This will take us through the Inkwell Isles and Cuphead and Mugman’s adventure to reclaim their souls from The Devil.
This will be an oversized book, clocking in at 160 pages. It will retail for $29.99 and is set for release on October 22nd, 2019. It’s currently available at your local comic shop, book store, and Amazon.
