With how heated and occasionally toxic fandom has gotten at times it’s good to occasionally look back at the reasons for our love for pop culture. Why We Love Star Wars, a new book from writer Ken Napzok looks to do just that with a franchise from a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away. There are so many moments in Star Wars between the movies, novels, TV shows, comics, and more that speak to us as children, teens, and adults.
Although I didn’t see Star Wars until I was in high school, it feels like an omnipresent force in my life and it’s certainly come to define aspects of my world view. Why We Love Star Wars sounds like a victory lap of those treasured memories, reminding us as to why this franchise is so special.
