Here’s a fun thing coming out of the United Arab Emirates – not a phrase you’ll see very often associated with a part of the Middle East who’s human rights record leaves a lot to be desired – and, specifically, Ikea, who have created a rather eye catching advertisement campaign centred around some very familiar sitting rooms.
Adweek report on Publicis Spain’s “Ikea Real Life” campaign which took 2 months to create as they had to track down all the right pieces that are currently on sale from Ikea to recreate these sitting rooms from The Simpson, Friends and Stranger Things. Although, to create the final pictures there was some 3D jiggery-pokery going on to make them as close to the real deal as possible. And, while The Simpson and Stranger Things rooms are pretty spot on, I’m holding my judgement on the Friends living space. But, I’ll let you divide for yourselves from the accompanying pictures.
