Age Of Wonders: Planetfall Shows Off Laser Dinosaurs

During last week’s PC Gaming Show, Paradox Interactive and Triumph Studios showed off Age of Wonders: Planetfall, a combination strategy and 4X game where players can choose to construct their own empire either through peaceful means or via a powerful military.

Emerge from the cosmic dark age of a fallen galactic empire to build a new future in Age of Wonders: Planetfall. Build an empire with one of six unique factions, ranging from the militant Vanguard to the dinosaur-riding Amazons. Advance through each faction’s missions using wits, military strength and diplomacy, exploring planetary ruins and encountering other survivors as the history of a shattered civilization unravels. Fight, build, negotiate and develop technology toward a path to utopia in a deep single-player campaign, on random skirmish maps, and against friends in multiplayer.
The game is available for pre-order now, and people who pre-order will receive an exclusive theme and a Paragon Noble Cosmetic Pack. Players who buy the Deluxe Edition will get an additional theme, along with the Bravado Bundle and Spacer Punk cosmetic packs which add additional in-game backgrounds, icons, and other cosmetics, as well as an additional scenario planet that’s infested with alien flora and fauna. The Premium Edition grants all that plus a season pass for the game.
Age of Wonders: Planetfall will release on August 6th for Steam, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
