Dynamite Wants To See Your Art On The Cover Of Vampirella #2

by Olly MacNamee

As part of Dynamite’s ongoing 15th anniversary celebrations  – and Vampirella’s 50th  –  the comic book company has launched an art competition where the winning entry will have their work presented on the cover of Vampirella #2. No word on whether the winner will actually get paid for this, but whatever the outcome, the winning design will be joining a group of artists that include Frank Frazetta and, more recently Artgerm, who have illustrated Vampi over the years. Who knows, it could even lead to more work – and paid too – for the winner.

But, if you are interested, you’d better get your skates on as the deadline is July 12th. You are encouraged to post your creations to Instagram, Twitter and Facebook with the hashtag #VampiFanArt and tagging Dynamite. Pieces will be reposted to Dynamite’s Instagram for the whole community to enjoy. The one with the most likes (really? Leaving it to democracy, and not that a judging panel has worked too well for your country or ours in recent years) will be the winner with budding cover artists encouraged to depict other characters and elements of Vampirella’s world, including Pantha, Adam Van Helsing, Pendragon, Evily, Draculina, Lilith and others.

Best of luck of you are entering and for more check out the competition details here.

Vampirella #2 is due out in August.
