Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid Season Two Pass Announced

by Sage Ashford

The second season pass for Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid has been revealed. More details from Bandai-Namco below:

Introducing Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid Season 2. The new season features three new fan favorite warriors (Anubis “Doggie” Cruger, Eric Myers, and Dai Shi), new arena (Space Patrol Delta base), new ultra (Delta Squad Megazord), and a new character skin (Tommy Oliver / Mighty Morphin Power Rangers White Ranger).
The new arena and new ultra are free to download now. The remaining three new warriors and character skin can be purchased as part of Season 2 Pass for $14.99 across PS4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PC. Each individual character can also be purchased separately for $5.99. Anubis “Doggie” Cruger (Shadow Ranger) is releasing in September, with Eric Myers (Quantum Ranger) in October and Dai Shi in November.

Battle for the Grid felt like it was going to be another flash in the pan type of game, but it seems as if the title has wound up more popular than most people would have expected.   After all, the first season pass was basically promised to audiences, but there was no confirmation this game would get a second.   They’re still smartly going with fan-favorite characters like the Shadow and Quantum Rangers, and that will hopefully mean a continuation of support from the fans.
These season passes feel a little short in terms of content though, with only three characters being added per season. But then at the same time, it’s essentially an investment of $15 every three months to give your game additional characters and content, so it’s not like they’re being greedy in terms of what they’re asking.  Hopefully this game will continue long enough to get a decent sized cast, and show there’s an audience for Power Rangers games.
