Black Widow Teaser Sneaks Its Way Online

With little fanfare — but a little bit of warning — a teaser for Marvel Studios’ Black Widow has made its way to the Internet. Considering the character is the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s most talented spy, it only makes sense this would happen.
The teaser sees Natasha Romanoff (Scarlet Johansson) making herself scarce after the events of Captain America: Civil War and heading back behind the former Iron Curtain. There, she runs into old comrades Yelena Belova (Florence Pugh) and Alexei Shostakov (David Harbour). But the reunion is short lived when Taskmaster arrives to make plenty of trouble for Nat. And without the Avengers or their resources to call upon, she’ll have to deal with the villain the old-fashioned way.
While we may have hoped for something a little bit more like a spy flick, the action looks great and we can’t wait to see Belova, another Black Widow, and Red Guardian do their thing. Also, as the film will be the first chapter of Marvel Studios’ Phase 4, we anticipate the film will lead to some clues about Nick Fury’s (Samuel L. Jackson) space-worthy fleet even if the film takes place five-to-seven years before he began assembling it.
Black Widow makes its way to theaters on May 1st, 2020.
