Despite Kingdom Hearts III having been released back at the start of 2019, Square’s actually been pretty quiet about the DLC for a game that was one of the most highly-anticipated games of the generation. The company’s finally broke their silence by showing off the next chapter in the Kingdom Hearts story. More from Square-Enix themselves below:
ReMIND – the other tale that unfolded during the climax of Kingdom Hearts III. Determined to rescue Kairi, Sora travels to the Keyblade Graveyard a short time before the final battle was to take place. Lacking a corporeal form, he traces the hearts of the seven guardians of light. Through experiencing their personal battles firsthand, Sora is about to discover truths that he has never before imagined.
This storyline seems to involve the Final Fantasy characters which have found a second home within the Kingdom Hearts series. This trailer was originally posted to Square-Enix’s page, but was taken down–likely meaning this will play a part in Sony’s upcoming State of Play on Tuesday.
Speaking of Sony, PlayStation players will be able to enjoy ReMIND a full month sooner — the DLC will come to PS4 owners on January 23rd, Xbox One owners won’t get to enjoy it until February 25th.
