Dark Horse Comics To Adapt Neil Gaiman’s Norse Mythology

by James Ferguson

Dark Horse Comics is expanding its Neil Gaiman Library in May 2020 with an adaptation of Norse Mythology. The comic is adapted by Gaiman and P. Craig Russell with artwork from Mike Mignola, Russell, and Jerry Ordway, colors by Dave Stewart and Lovern Kindzierski, and letterer Galen Showman. Russell and Kindzierski will be providing covers with variants coming from David Mack. There are 18 total issues planned with a mix of interior artists to be announced at a later date.

Creator Neil Gaiman says:

I fell in love with the Norse gods from reading about them in comics as a boy, so it’s only fitting that they return to the medium that started it. I cannot wait to see P. Craig Russell and his collaborators tell the old stories for a new generation.

Norse Mythology explores…well…Norse mythology. Witness the creation of the Nine Worlds, the epic origin of Thor, Odin, and Loki, and the end of all life in Ragnarok. Norse Mythology #1 is set for release on May 27th, 2020.
