Christmas In Gotham: Preview Detective Comics #1018 By Tomasi, Godlewski And Baron

by Olly MacNamee

Next up on this New Year’s Day is Detective Comics #1018 from DC Comics, in which Batman continues to try and come to terms with the fallout from “City of Bane”  as told by Peter J Tomasi, Scott Godlewski, David Baron and Rob Leigh. It’s always surprised me how Tom King’s run on Batman got all the love while over on Detective Comics we’ve had some equally great stories by Tomasi and company. Well worth your time if you’re a real Batman fan. Have a look at a preview of this week’s issue, and an all-new story, out today from DC Comics, of course.

In the aftermath of “City of Bane,” the Dark Knight has found himself cold, alone, and missing one of the very foundations of his life as both Bruce Wayne and the Batman. But personal problems will have to wait-a mysterious series of deaths have been peppered throughout Gotham and it seems an element of the supernatural is at play in the form of a monstrous pagan spirit. Can Batman silence the demons within to stop the killing? Or will this silent night be for keeps?
