Batman: Gotham By Gaslight Absolute Edition Is Canceled
by James Ferguson
If you were hoping for another massive, Absolute Edition from DC Comics for your bookshelf, you’re going to have to wait a bit longer. DC has canceled September’s Batman: Gotham by Gaslight Absolute Edition, with another format planned at a later time. No specific reason has been given for the cancellation.
Batman: Gotham by Gaslight is a classic Elseworlds tale written by Brian Augustyn and Jeff Parker and illustrated by Mike Mignola, P. Craig Russell, Eduardo Barreto, Greg Tocchini, and Evan “Doc” Shaner. It’s perhaps most notable for Mignola’s work on the Caped Crusader, pitting him against Jack the Ripper in the Victorian Era.
We’ll keep our eye out for any new editions of the title.
