‘Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot’ Adds Time Machine Mode And Reveals Future Story DLC

Though it’s easy to forget now that March is drowning us in releases, Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot was easily the biggest title released for the first two months of the year. The game reached over two million copies sold, and is one of the most successful Dragon Ball Z titles ever in terms of sales. Now the game is adding a bunch of additional content, starting with the Time Machine. Beginning today, players will be able to visit Bulma’s house at the head of Capsule Corp and use a time machine to go back to finish up missed side quests, as well as replaying main missions.

 
However, this isn’t all Bandai-Namco is up to. They’ve also revealed they’re adding a new story episode, referred to as “A New Awakening.” Players will get to fight Beerus at the behest of Whis. Yes, this means the game will be adding Dragon Ball Super characters, with players getting to battle Whis and eventually become a Super Saiyan God. The mode will be available for both Goku and Vegeta, granting them additional moves as well as combo bonuses — which will also be usable in story mode.
There’s no specific date set for this DLC yet, but it’s listed specifically as the “first part,” so presumably there will be more to come. Perhaps they will allow players to have their second fight against Freiza?
