‘Tank Girl’ To Be Published By Eric Powell’s Albatross Funnybooks

by Olly MacNamee

For a good few years now Alan Martin and Jamie Hewlett’s co-creation Tank Girl has made her home at Titan Comics. But, no more as news that she’ll be upping roots and rolling her tank over to Eric Powell’s Albatross Funnybooks this Fall.
Starting her new residency at Albatross Funnybooks, the latest creative team to work on Tank Girl, Martin and Brett Parson, a new series has been announced called King Tank Girl, and Powell has already created a spiffy new cover to accompanying the announcement.
Here’s what Powell told comicbook.com, who broke this news:

Alan Martin and Brett Parson have been doing some amazing Tank Girl stuff lately, and Brett just did a run of The Goon for us. And I’m a huge fan of his artwork. And, they kind of approached me and were like, ‘Hey we’re looking for another home for Tank Girl would you be interested?’ And, you know, of course I was interested because it fits right in with everything we’ve been doing. It’s a character that I think sets beside all the comics we have very, very nicely… And I’m very happy to have, Tank Girl beside The Goon. I think that’s a good fit.

With Albatross Funnybooks being the hime of The Goon, I reckon Tank Girl will certainly fit in with the rest of her neighbors, don’t you?
