Alternative Free Comic Book Day Online This Weekend With Marv Wolfman, Kevin Eastman And More

With no Free Comic Book day this year, publisher Russell Nohelty (who runs Wannabe Press) and creator Neo Edmund (“actor turned best-selling author, screenwriter, and comic book writer”) have got together to offer up an alternative. An Alt Free Comic Book Day (Alt-FCBD), with a rather impressive line-up of online interviews and their very own website which is up and running now.
Happening across Friday 1st May and Saturday 2nd May, Alt-FCBD will have a keynote speech by none other than The New Teen Titans co-creator Marv Wolfman, as well as appearances by Kevin Eastman (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles co-creator) and Richard Starkings amongst others.
This will be happening across a number of social media channels, but mostly on their Facebook page, so you may want to add yourself to the group now in case you forget. You’ll also find the full schedule of events happening all right here.
It’s not free comic, but it is a great list of comic book professionals all talking on a variety of topics across the two day festival.
