‘Guerrilla Collective’ Announced For June 6 through 8
by Sage Ashford
As we grow closer to the time E3 usually occurs, companies continue to announce their alternative plans for a summer without the games conference. Typically bi-annual, Guerrilla Collective aims to fill some of the gap left in E3’s wake by bringing together a large collection of independent publishers and developers for a three day event. The event is organized by the Media Indie Exchange in combination with Kinda Funny Games Showcase and Kinda Funny’s co-founder Greg Miller. It will be part of IGN’s Summer of Gaming Showcase, and also contain Paradox Insider, the PC Gaming Show, and the Future Games Show as well.
Things will start with the Guerilla Collective Live on June 6th, which will start 1PM Eastern Time. Then Paradox Insider will follow shortly afterwards at 2:30PM EST, while the PC Gaming Show will begin at 3:00PM EST, and finally the Future Games Show will start at 5:30PM.
There will be additional press conferences on June 7th and June 8th which will feature live gameplay demos and discussions with developers on their upcoming games.
According to IGN, the following developers will be present:
- 11 Bit Studios (Frostpunk, This War of Mine)
- Another Indie (SIMULACRA 2, Yuppie Psycho)
- Coffee Stain Studios (Satisfactory, Deep Rock Galactic)
- Fellow Traveller (In Other Waters, Neo Cab)
- Funcom (Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden, Conan Exiles)
- Good Shepherd Entertainment (John Wick Hex, The Eternal Cylinder)
- Headup (Bridge Constructor Portal, Pumpkin Jack)
- Humble Publishing (Temtem, Forager)
- Larian Studios (Baldur’s Gate III, Divinity: Original Sin II)
- Modern Wolf (Necronator: Dead Wrong, Out There: Oceans of Time)
- Paradox Interactive (Cities: Skylines, Stellaris)
- Raw Fury (Kingdom Two Crowns, Atomicrops)
- Rebellion (Sniper Elite 4, Zombie Army 4: Dead War)
- Those Awesome Guys (Monster Prom, Move or Die, Floppy Knights)
- Thunderful (SteamWorld Quest: Hand of Gilgamech, Lonely Mountains: Downhill)
- United Label (Eldest Souls, Röki)
- Versus Evil (The Banner Saga, Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire)
- Whitethorn Games (Aground, StarCrossed)
- WINGS Interactive (Later Daters, Lord Winklebottom Investigates)
- Ysbryd Games (WORLD OF HORROR, VA-11 HALL-A: Cyberpunk Bartender Action)
- ZA/UM (Disco Elysium)
It definitely sounds like a good replacement for E3 and we cannot wait to see what emerges from the show.
