‘Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’ Gets Comic Book Prequel From Dark Horse
by James Ferguson
The next game in Ubisoft’s Assassin Creed saga is set for release in November, but fans don’t have to wait until then to get a taste of this Viking action. Dark Horse Comics will publish a three-issue prequel mini-series beginning in October from writer Cavan Scott, artist Martin Tunica, and colorist Michael Atiyeh.
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla: Song of Glory takes us to Mid-9th Century Norway where Eivor, a Viking warrior, sees a village raided by a neighboring kingdom. She seizes the attack in her own favor, but it’s unclear if her victory will be a blessing to her clan or a terrible curse. Meanwhile, another Viking searches for a different king of prize, made of crucible steel.
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla: Song of Glory #1 is set for release on October 21st, 2020.
