IDW Announce New Horror Title ‘Scarenthood’ By Nick Roche

When you’re a parent and your kids are away, the adults, it would seem, will play. But, not without consequences, as we’ll get to see in new IDW horror series Scarenthood by writer/artist Nick Roche and colorist Chris O’Halloran, announced by IDW today.
“With their kids away on a field trip, a group of parents disturbs an ancient evil buried beneath the old Church Hall, unearthing a decades-old mystery about a missing child, and inviting something… hungry into their lives. Suddenly, their mornings go from playdates and peanut allergies to a battle for the souls of one broken family⁠ — and one child in particular.”
Having grown up in Ireland, Roche’s childhood would have been filled with stories of rural horror and religious statues that moved. A source for this new series then?

Along with this announcement comes a first look at the book. which is coming out this October from IDW.
