by James Ferguson

Kodansha USA Publishing has teamed up with ComiXology Originals to bring Shaman King to the digital comics platform. Hiroyuki Takei’s shonen manga series will be complete with all 35 volumes of the original series including the final three volumes that were never before published in English. They’ll be available to read digitally beginning on Tuesday, July 28th for members of Amazon Prime through Prime Reading, Kindle Unlimited, and ComiXology Unlimited. They will also be available for purchase on Kindle and ComiXology.

Creator Hiroyuki Takei says:

It’s been over 10 years since I’ve completed Shaman King. But finally –– at last –– I can deliver the true ending to the story to the fans in America. It’s a message from my heart, and I think it’s a particularly important one in this day and age. I hope that it’ll reach the hearts of many comrades.

Shaman King is set in a world where shamans possess mysterious powers, allowing them to commune with gods, spirits, and even the dead. Manta Oyamada is about to learn all about them because his class just welcomed Yoh Asakura, a new transfer student from way off in Izumo who happens to be a shaman in training.
More will be revealed about the manga during Kodansha USA Publishing’s Comic-Con@Home panel, Shaman King: Then, Now & Tomorrow on Thursday, July 23rd, 2020 at 2:00 PM PT.
