During the Sony PlayStation Showcase, publisher WB Games and developer Avalanche Software and Portkey Games announced Hogwarts Legacy, an open-world RPG set in the Harry Potter universe.  Originally leaked back in 2018, the game has been off the radar outside of that leak until it’s reveal here.  The game is set during the 1800s and allows the player to create their own character.  More available from the home page of the website below:

Recently, much discussion has been had over JK Rowling’s transphobic statements made on Twitter over the summer, which even the developers of the game have taken issue with. According to Warner Bros, JK Rowling has little to do with this game’s creation, though they remained suspiciously quiet about whether or not Rowling would be receiving royalties from this game’s existence.
In any case, Hogwarts Legacy will be releasing for Xbox One, Playstation 4, Xbox Series, Playstation 5, and PC in 2021.
