Feast Your Eyes On The ‘Marvel’s Voices: Indigenous Voices’ Trailer
by James Ferguson
We’ve seen some sweet variant covers for Marvel’s Voices: Indigenous Voices, and now we’ve got a trailer to check out to increase that anticipation. This features never-before-seen artwork too. The upcoming anthology one-shot led by Jeffrey Veregge shines a spotlight on the Native American and Indigenous characters in the Marvel Universe.
Marvel’s Voices: Indigenous Voices features an Echo tale from writer Rebecca Roanhorse and artist Weshoyot Alvitre setting the character up for a comeback in the near future. It also includes a Dani Moonstar story forcing the character to face the question of what her Indigenous heritage means in the new era of mutantkind, penned by Darcie Little Badger and illustrated by Kyle Charles. Finally, there’s a Silver Fox tale set before she met Wolverine by writer Stephen Graham Jones and artist David Cutler. The issue will also feature commentary by Taboo of the Black Eyed Peas and writer B. Earl.
“I am immensely grateful to be part of this project. The New Mutants (and other Marvel heroes) have made such a positive impact on my life, and I have a great deal of respect and affection for X-Men characters,” Darcie Little Badger told AiPT in a recent interview. “The fact that Indigenous Voices gave me the opportunity to contribute to the X-Men universe means everything. I take the responsibility very seriously and am honored to work with my Indigenous Voices co-creators.”
Marvel’s Voices: Indigenous Voices #1 is set for release on November 18th, 2020.
