by James Ferguson

What’s bigger than Giant-Size? Planet-Size, of course! Marvel Comics has announced Planet-Size X-Men #1, a new one-shot tying into the Hellfire Gala, which is shaping up to be the event of the year. The Hellfire Trading Company is inviting us all to this inaugural event to announce the first team of Krakoan X-Men to the world and reveal the startling plans that mutantkind has in store for the Marvel Universe. This double-sized issue is written by Gerry Duggan and illustrated by Pepe Larraz.

“Make no mistake—this is an X-Men book drawn by superstar artist Pepe Larraz. It is absolutely the most important issue of the month,” Editor Jordan D. White promises. “Pepe is absolutely the star of the X-line and he is doing the most amazing work of his career. You cannot miss this.”

Marvel promises the Hellfire Gala will be one of the most pivotal chapters yet in this era of the X-Men with even bigger things on the way. After everything we’ve seen so far, that’s setting a pretty high bar. The event will be shown through twelve titles, telling twelve stories all focused on a single night. Keep an eye out for more Hellfire Gala cover reveals, costume designs, variant covers, and more as we lead up to this star-studded affair.
