‘The Department Of Truth’ #8: New Story Arc, New Covers By Simmonds, Sienkiewicz And Young

by Olly MacNamee

The bestselling Image Comics series The Department of Truth by James Tynion IV and Martin Simmonds starts off a brand new story arc this April with issue #8. And to announce this news – something readers will probably have already worked out for themselves after two stellar one-off issues – they have shared the three covers to adorn this new issue. The regular by Simmonds as well as one by Bill Sienkiewicz and a third by Skottie Young. You know you’ve made it if you get a cover by even one of the aforementioned artists. But BOTH? Neat.

“Cole Turner thought he joined the right side of the war for the Truth. But now that he’s learning more about Lee Harvey Oswald’s tenure leading the Department, he’s not so sure. The answers Cole seeks are hidden behind a pair of unsolvable riddles: WHO is the Fictional Woman, and WHAT does she want from him?”
