‘World War She-Hulk’ Begins in July’s ‘Avengers’ #46 From Marvel

by James Ferguson

“Heroes Reborn” hasn’t even started yet and Marvel Comics is already looking towards what comes next for Earth’s Mightiest Heroes. The publisher has announced the beginning of “World War She-Hulk” in July’s Avengers #46 from writer Jason Aaron and artist Javier Garrón, bringing Jennifer Walters’ current journey to its conclusion. This sets Shulkie on a new path leading up to Avengers #50.

This arc serves as an homage to 2007’s “World War Hulk“, however it will stand on its own as a new story. She-Hulk will face off against Red Guardian and the Winter Guard as she’s been declared a global menace.

“When the Russian Winter Guard invade Avengers Mountain to arrest She-Hulk, it sets off a global espionage adventure that takes us from the notorious assassin training academy of the Red Room to an undersea kingdom on the verge of violent revolution,” Aaron said. “Along the way, traitors will fall, regimes will crumble and the dark evolution of Jennifer Walters will reach its bloody red crescendo, all as we build toward the epic events of Avengers #50.”

Avengers #46 is set for release on July 7th, 2021.
