Sonic Origins

During the 30th anniversary stream for Sonic, Sega revealed plans to release a compilation project called Sonic Origins. The compilation will include the original Sonic the Hedgehog, Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Sonic & Knuckles, and the Sonic CD title.  A collection of games often referred to by fans as “the good Sonic games”, the stream promised these games would come with added content and features.

Surprisingly though, they didn’t mention any platforms or a release date for the game. Instead, they promised additional information would be coming later in the year. They did mention these would be coming to “the latest platforms”, which suggests PlayStation and Xbox consoles as well as the Nintendo Switch. (And potentially the Switch Pro, whenever it’s announced.)
