As well as a look at all the covers for new week’s Green Arrow 80th Anniversary 100 Page Super Spectacular special, we also have a first look at Jeff Lemire and Andrea Sorrentino’s contribution to the Emerald Archer’s birthday bash. A story purporting to be the very last Green Arrow story of ’em all.
Lemire and Sorrentino’s original run on Green Arrow covered a young and inexperienced Green Arrow at the start of his career, so it makes some sense for them to chronicled an imaginary end too. But ahead of the three page preview, let’s take a look at all the covers covering the eight decades of both the Golden Age and Silver Age Ollie Queen:
“CELEBRATING THE EMERALD ARCHER’S 80TH ANNIVERSARY! For the last eight decades, Green Arrow has been one of the premier (and loudest) characters in the DCU, always at the forefront of where the superhero genre is headed. This oversized anniversary issue follows in those footsteps, as an all-star lineup of Green Arrow creators, alongside some of the gifted creators of the modern era who have been inpsired by Oliver Queen, unite to pay tribute to the Battling Bowman. See what the past, present and future have in store for Oliver Queen, Black Canary, Connor Hawke, Arsenal, Red Arrow, Speedy, and more in this epic special!”
Green Arrow 80th Anniversary 100 Page Super Spectacular is out Tuesday 29th June from DC Comics
