Never let it be said companies aren’t willing to risk being late to a new trend for the potential of a big cash-in. Metal Gear Survive developer Konami has announced CRIMESIGHT, a new mystery simulation game where the players’ goals are to figure out both the killer and the victim. The game takes place in a futuristic London, where a new AI named Foresight is able to predict crimes before they happen, resulting in crime being reduced by 90%.
But when Foresight realizes the crimes that can’t be prevented will still result in society falling apart, another AI is developed, named Sherlock. Sherlock’s goal is to discover the culprits for the crimes that can’t be predicted. But in response to Sherlock, someone else creates an entirely different AI – Moriarty, who creates the crimes that can’t be predicted by Foresight.
In Crimesight, players are placed in either the Moriarty or Sherlock role, and must reach their goals before the other side does if they want to succeed. Crimesight is currently looking for players to enter its closed beta test, and interested people can get a chance to be chosen by following Crimesight’s Twitter account and retweeting one of the account’s pinned tweets asking for players to participate.
