John Diggle Arrives In Central City On The Next Episode Of ‘The Flash’

by Erik Amaya

Although the new storyline is in full swing, there’s still time for John Diggle (David Ramsey) to make his long-promised visit to Team Flash. And as this preview for next week’s episode indicates, his appearance will be well-timed … even if his real purpose in visiting Central City may be related to the closing moments of Arrow.

Meanwhile, this week’s episode featured some of the best fighting we’ve seen on the show in a long time — even Frost (Danielle Panabaker) and Mark’s (Jon Cor) tussle with the disoriented Godspeeds had an energy which has been lacking from the show of late. Maybe the return of fisticuffs had something to do with easing COVID restrictions in Vancouver or, maybe, Godspeed is the foe the team’s needed for sometime. Even though they outclass the Flash (Grant Gustin), he definitely got in a few good shots and some well-realized speed-fighting this time.

All that said, there’s still some rough edges here — like Esperanza’s (Alexa Barajas) sudden decision to go through with the operation and way the program went out of its way to call out Candice Patton‘s unavailability for the episode. But with a welcome appearance by Nora (Jessica Parker Kennedy) — if only in a dream — The Flash seems to be headed in a more solid direction than it’s had all year.

The Flash airs Tuesdays on The CW.
