‘Masters Of The Universe: Revelation’ Trailer Teases The Loss Of Magic And Teela’s Journey

After a number of impressive teasers, Netflix released a full trailer for the upcoming Masters of the Universe: Revelation on Friday which indicates a number of interesting threads for the series. Although treating the original Filmation cartoon, He-Man and the Masters of the Universe, as its backstory, something will occur with ends magic on Eternia. Meanwhile, Teela (Sarah Michelle Gellar) learns He-Man (Chris Wood) and the others have been keeping a secret from her so shocking, it forces her to start a new life away from them, the palace, and magic itself. But will circumstances forces her back into the role of a hero?
Additionally, Netflix announced Dennis Haysbert will lend his voice to King Grayskull, while Adam Gifford plays Vikor and Jay Tavare takes on the role of Wundar. Now, if you know your He-Man history, these characters are pretty surprising inclusions, particularly Wundar — a take on the so-called “Wonderbread He-Man” who caused collectors a lot of confusion over the past few decades. But with pulls these deep, we imagine the program will be a gift for fans of the He-Man line and its surprisingly rich history.
Part 1 of Masters of the Universe: Revelation hits Netflix on July 23rd.
