Tom King And Greg Smallwood Reinterpret ‘Human Target’ For DC Black Label This Fall

Revealed today, Tom King’s next DC Comics series will be Human Target with artist Greg Smallwood.

Co-created by Len Wein and Carmine Infantino, Human Target first appeared in Action Comics #419 (1972) but never really took with fans. But now he’s coming back, although this isn’t the first time he’s had his own series. in 1999 Vertigo published an ongoing that lasted 21 issues and written by Peter Milligan. And now we get this new reiteration of this Bronze Age bodyguard:

“Christopher Chance has made a living out of being a human target—a man hired to disguise himself as his client to invite would-be assassins to attempt his murder. He’s had a remarkable career until his latest case protecting Lex Luthor when things go sideways.
