Mary Elizabeth Winstead Kicks Butt In ‘Kate’ Trailer

Mary Elizabeth Winstead (Scott Pilgrim) stars as a new action hero in the assassin revenge thriller Kate. After an assassination attempt goes wrong, Kate must cut through members of the Yakuza to find out who poisoned her.
Netflix’s original action films have largely been hit or miss. The foreign martial arts crime movies have had the best track record so far with films like Headshot, Furie, and Revenger. Kate looks to be in the vein of the more hyper-stylized action films like Polar or Gunpowder Milkshake. Can Kate differentiate itself from every other “assassin seeking revenge” movie? We’ll have to wait and see!
Kate will be streaming on Netflix on September 10.
