Red Bull is highly involved in the gaming industry, holding events such as the Valorant university championships and their very own annual AdrenaLan. Ahead of the LCS Championship Grand Finals, the company is offering an opportunity for amateurs to show off their League of Legends skills.
The third round of their online qualifiers for the Red Bull Solo Q League of Legends Tournament will be held this weekend. It is the ultimate 1v1 League of Legends experience and will provide prizes, community pride, and the highly-coveted Red Bull Solo Q trophy for the ultimate winner.
The competition is slightly different from the typical 5v5 League of Legends team setting. Red Bull Solo Q will settle the score and showcase individual skill with a 1v1 gameplay format. Amateurs face-off in the top lane of Summoner’s Rift and can claim victory by drawing ‘First Blood’ against opponents, destroying the opposing player’s outer turret or achieving a 100-minion creep score first.
Those who want to participate must create a Battlefly account to find the applicable tournament and apply or register at redbull.com/play-soloq. The National Open Qualifiers #3 will take place Sunday, August 29, at 12:00 pm PST.
