Love Death and Robots was nominated for several Emmy awards this year. The standout episode ‘Ice’ directed by Robert Valley (Zima Blue) won the Emmy for Outstanding short form animation. Valley’s iconic character designs combined with an empathic story created a cinematic experience on the small screen. Ice proves that animation doesn’t need to be photorealistic CGI to captivate audiences. I hope that Valley is given the opportunity to do a feature length film in the near future.
Love Death and Robots is currently streaming on Netflix.
