The Original Legends Return In A Preview Of Next Week’s ‘Legends Of Tomorrow’

To celebrate its 100th episode, Legends of Tomorrow is looking back, in way, with an episode featuring former cast members like Brandon Routh and Wentworth Miller as Gideon (Amy Pemberton) introduces Astra (Olivia Swann) and Spooner (Lisseth Chavez) to the OG Legends.
As for this episode, it feels like the show has regained some of its pep following an inconsistent final run in the previous season. Granted, Seasons 6 was written and produced under difficult circumstances, so the fact the alien plot never cohered can be forgiven. Meanwhile, we love things like Zari (Tala Ashe) trying to work out the problem of the second Waverider while stoned and the pairing of Astra and Spooner continues to be a nice source of dramatic tension. Also, Nick Zano once again brought the wacky and the serious as Nate come to grips with ruining a key part of the 20th Century. He’s always been one of the show’s secret weapons and its nice to see him stretching those acting chops again.
