Sozomaika To Provide Covers For ‘Vampirella’ And ‘Red Sonja’ Valentines Specials

Although it’s still November, Vampirella and Red Sonja are already planning for Valentine’s Day 2022.
The pair will be getting Valentine’s one-shot specials all their own this February from Dynamite Entertainment. According to the company, “A range of talented creators, including breakout cover artist Sozomaika, are set to tell lovestruck and romantic tales of two of Dynamite’s biggest stars.” Lesley “Leirix” Li also contributes a cover to each special, as does model Rachel Hollon in a pair of cosplay covers.
In “Burning Love,” Bitter Root writer Chuck Brown leads Sonja’s romantic escapade as she finds herself far from Hyrkania and suddenly able to command fire. But her quest leads her to a realm where warlords can control ice, and one has “literally exchanged their heart and soul for power.” Meanwhile, writer and colorist Dearbhla Kelly leads a group of talent to explore some of Vampirella’s romantic travails.
The Red Sonja Valentine’s Special 2022 and the Vampirella Valentine’s Special 2022 are due out, appropriately enough, in February.
