The Gang Tries To Comprehend The Disk In A Preview Of Next Week’s ‘Naomi’

Naomi (Kaci Walfall)’s world continues to get more and more complicated. Also, a disc she found in the forest seems to augment her powers. It’s also something Zumbado (Cranston Johnson) showed interest in. But what is it? As seen in this preview for next week’s Naomi, the “Scooby Gang” tries to use some high school science to unlock its secrets. Meanwhile, Dee (Alexander Wraith) faces a new opponent and Naomi steels herself in order to tell her parents the truth.
As we said last week, the second episode of the series goes a long way to revealing the charm of the show — it’s Degrassi light element. Sure, the interpersonal relations and Naomi’s romantic quadrangle may not be all that thrilling yet, but combining all of these kids into a Scooby Gang because the all care about Naomi is the spark of something we’d love to see going forward. Each has an emerging role or function: Annabelle (Mary-Charles Jones) is the voice of reason, for example. The fact they are all bonded via their friendship with the title character is different from the usual CW format, where the lead often describes themself as an outcast. And although Naomi may still feel like an outsider, she has an innate ability to wander through all the high school social strata. Maybe that is the most truly different aspect of the show and we hope it continues to develop.
