Publisher Electronic Arts announced  that they’ll be working with Lucasfilm Games to develop three new games in the Star Wars universe. The games will come from developer Respawn Entertainment, known for their work on Jedi Fallen Order and Apex Legends.

One of the three main titles will be a sequel to the Jedi Fallen Order franchise, an action-adventure game from game director Stig Asmussen, rumored to be announced later this year, and release either late this year or early next year.

The second title is a first person shooter title from director Peter Hirschmann. Hirschman has been VP of development at LucasArts and executive producer on the original Battlefront titles. Not much is known about this second title, except that development has just started for the game.

The last game is a strategy game, and Respawn will be producing this game but the developer will be Bit Reactor, a recently formed studio headed up by Greg Foertsch, who previously worked at Firaxis.

All of these games are still in development, which implies that even after EA loses the exclusive access to the Star Wars license sometime in 2023, they’ll still have a strong part to play in developing Star Wars titles.
